My personal journey of yoga started twenty years ago while living in New England, on the brink of a marriage collapse and corporate lay off. Energy from those life transitions easily crossed over to the intensity of Ashtanga, an alignment based vinyasa yoga practice. A career change and new relationship brought me to Montana in 2011 and without all that background noise, study and practice started to evolve into the gentler, more therapeutic styles of Somatics, Restorative and Yin yoga.
Living and working internationally for the past decade has prompted deeper insight into the subtler aspects of the practice found in our breath, meditation, mudra, energetic currents and nervous system shifts. Currently, I am working towards a certification from the International Association of Yoga Therapists through Inner Peace Yoga Therapy in Durango, CO.
My Registered Yoga Teacher certification is through the incredible Soma Yoga Institute in Arcata, CA.
Private or public classes are customizable and available for all levels.
I love spending time outdoors with my husband and island rescue dog Bosun. For a portion of the year we live aboard and run a term charter sailing catamaran in the British Virgin Islands where I am 1st Mate, Chef, Photographer, Snorkel/Hiking Guide, Lead Mermaid and Yoga Instructor. When living on land, I love Nordic and alpine skiing, hiking, biking, rock climbing, painting, camping, reading, creating delicious meals and traveling to experience cultures and languages. I am continually humbled by the dedication and service of yogis and practitioners around the world and am honored to share in the collective cultivation of energy together.
